After more than a century, the conventional flare gun might be on its way to fizzling out. These modern flares are UL approved and can withstand being run over by a truck. At almost $40.00 each however, the average person will stay with having a handful of fire flares in their trunk.As far as the outdoors, laser light technology has come along way. It too is quite expensive. Although, with emergencies where this type of device would be utilized, peoples lives may be at risk. These laser signaling devices can be used both by boaters and campers as a distress signal. The cost will vary depending on if you prefer spending about $100.00 for nighttime rescue or $250.00 for daytime. Reviews have been mostly positive, accept for two concerns. First, they are not signaling devices. They merely project a beam of light in the sky.
